So close to you
Here comes -Red Crescent Flag Day 2010, 20th & 21st March!
I likey.
“It’s the worst nightmare day!!” – Kenny Khoo
Yeah, before this, I favourited Flag Day as one of the best events in Red Crescent but not until this year, where I went through the suffer-ness. What a vocabulary :P
Indeed, this year Flag Day was indifferent compared to last year & tiring (duh!) but I still do enjoy collecting donations. Also, I went for both days!
Talking about the first day …
Almost late ‘cos I couldn’t woke up in the morning. Collected tins & started off to Air Itam Area with the Form4′s, one Form2 junior & Afiqah.
There’s a lost Form1 boy from HamidKhan ==” who was blur and don’t know where to go and guess what, he followed behind us! Wth :O haha !
Megala : (While walking) Eh, is that boy following us?
Qiu Yu : HAR? (Continues walking)
A few minutes later … (The boy still catching up us)
Afiqah : Wei, really laah … Who’s that?
Qiu Yu : I think is June’s brother …?
June : NO LAHH ! *laughs*
Everyone : *bursts out laughing*
Brought him to the wrong HSL, Teik Hwa who is from HutChing! :C However, we left that boy to him :P

After that, we (Afiqah , junior & me) moved on to Jetty. Many of us (or you?) might think it is a strategic spot but not. No tourist, no people :/ Hence, decided to walk to Esplanade until Lebuh Light Street! That is hell-far, I know. We were finding for bus stop along the journey but there was none!
Until we reached Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah (my primary school there!), that is when I started to understand the meaning of Flag Day= Suffer-ness. Called for help, thank God, I got an awesome senior, Jin Theng. She dropped us to Gurney <3 How could I not love her? ;) Had our lunch …

(Last year)
Afiqah never fails to embarrass me during Flag Day(s)! :/
Btw, I finally swallowed medicine! ;p Afiqah even recorded a video of me swallowing medicine. LOL
Joined Kenny & his friends and they gave Afiqah birthday presents surprise before all of us went back to HQ :’D

Vained with Kenny’s awesome phone while waiting them to get the birthday presents :P
Second day …
I didn’t plan to go anymore ‘cos no one is going (neither Afiqah) but the day before, Harveena asked me to stay with her in HeadQuarter :D For sure, I wouldn’t reject that. Again, I went there late, later D: Saw Kelly as a VAD ;) Pretty much nothing the whole day, chatting among three of us (Natasha too). Anyhow, we went outside not far from HQ quite some times to collect donations to help our unit :) I finally knew the best spot, not market nor hawker stalls. Petrol station, it is! :D Yes, after two years of experiences, I learned …
- Do not be choosy about who to ask for. I’ve asked from MPPP! & even teenagers (who most of them thought teenagers wouldn’t have much money with them)
- The 4digits labeled on the tins matter. Esp the chinese people, they like pretty numbers. Haha.
Ps: Me & Natasha even went into police station! Thought of ‘POLIS BERKHIDMAT UNTUK NEGARA’? Good enough to donate? No, the policewoman did not bother about us too! >:C
